V1.0 Was Great, But...

we could do better. Two years ago we created a simple TR-808 Snare Drum Hi-Hat Eurorack Module. And it was a huge hit! But it lacked CV...

For V2.0 We Took Your Feedback

and made a new Dual Snare Drum Hi-Hat eurorack module that is built for live performance. The Snare Drum Hi-Hat Pro CV introduces Two New CV Inputs for independent decay control, built-in mixing with level controls, and dual gate-invert switches all packed into 6hp (2 less than the original hit module)!

True to the original TR-808 Sound.

Both the Snare and Hi-Hat use the same analog circuitry as the original TR-808 synth. Tuned white-noise generators create a constant mid-tone drone. When a trigger is detected, a decaying envelope is used to attenuate the white-noise, which is then filtered, mixed, and buffered before the output jack. The length of the decaying envelope is adjusted via CV using our unique BJT circuit and/ or the dedicated control knob wired in parallel.

Development of the JCS Snare Drum Hi-Hat Eurorack Module

96 backers pledged $15,000 to help bring our projects to life.

Our three previous KickStarters for the Quad ADSR, CV-DMX, and Kickdrum Pro CV were a huge success (Thanks!).

About JCS

I'm Jake Lehotsky, and I know the frustration of having an incredible, unique sound trapped inside your head—only to be limited by the wrong piece of gear. Jake's Custom Shop started in 2016 with a focus on guitar pedalboards. 2019 brought Eurorack Cases. Modules followed in 2021. From the beginning my mission has been simple: to design gear that is more playable, more intuitive, and with MORE CV because nothing gets us more excited than seeing you finally hit 'record,' produce that absolutely insane track, and share it with the world.

After 3 successful Kickstarter campaigns, we're doing it again to fund components for Snare Drum Hi-Hat Pro CV V1.1. I loved hearing your feedback on the circuit and functionality, so keep the suggestions coming! For a nice early-bird discount you can back the project to be a part of something awesome!

Thanks!

-Jake
